The organisers of the biggest festival in Spain have also made Masawi, who has for the past three years been performing at the festival, the lead actress in the festival’s promotional film directed by renowned Catalán photographer Manuel Outumuro.

Masawi has also been asked to write the theme song “January Rain”, which she is currently working on.

She will be performing at the festival in the first week of October.

The festival celebrates 30 years this year.

She performed and toured with Jazz Invitation for three years, before relocating to Spain.

Masawi appeared at the world-famous Teatro Royale and Gran Teatro Liceu in Spain, backed by a 60 piece orchestra.

Last year she released her very first, extended play record titled ’91, a six-track gem produced by local producer Reverb7.Tune in to any radio station in the country and you’ll be able to sing along to two of the biggest records from the project Nyarara featuring Fungai Nengare and Haundidaro.
