Swedish firm to explores energy projects in Zim

A Swedish company, Sustainable Energy Solutions Sweden Holding AB (SENS), has partnered Zimbabwean company, Nyembesi Corporate Services Africa (Nyembesi),  to explore energy projects in Zimbabwe, Business Times can report.

SENS said in a statement that they are extending to Zimbabwe in order to investigate and assess the country’s energy initiative.

“Sustainable Energy Solutions Sweden Holding AB announces  its expansion to Zimbabwe by entering into a collaboration agreement with the local actor Nyembesi Corporate Services Africa (Nyembesi). Through this partnership, SENS aims to explore and evaluate potential energy projects in the Zimbabwean market,” read part of the statement.

Due to the rising need for energy solutions and its recent success in securing significant market shares, SENS is currently growing its global footprint.

Furthermore, the company expands through a strategic alliance with Nyembesi in Zimbabwe.

According to SENS CEO Henrik Boman, the organization seeks to bolster its global commitment to sustainable energy development in light of the problems confronting the global energy landscape.

“The current global energy landscape faces significant challenges, and with this strategic partnership, we intend to reinforce our international commitment to sustainable energy development,” said Boman.

Boman said their expansion into Zimbabwe represents a significant step in the firm’s international growth.

“By expanding our presence internationally, we become a more active participant in the global green transition. and we look forward to collaborating with Nyembesi,” he said.

Following its initial establishment in South Africa, the partnership between the two businesses will bolster SENS’s position in the African market.

According to SENS, the market for sustainable energy storage technologies has been shown to be very promising in Nyembesi.

SENS also said due to Nyembesi’s extensive local knowledge and resources in the region, it is well-positioned to identify attractive projects.

The collaboration agreement with SENS, according to Wellington Pasipamire, CEO of Nyembesi, is unmistakable evidence that technological solutions are the cornerstone of an energy- and carbon-efficient future.

According to Pasipamire, this collaboration will support the COP28’s goal and make it easier to put climate-resilient plans into action.

“It strengthens the ambitions from COP 28 and facilitates the implementation of climate-resilient strategies. The agreement targets Zimbabwe as a benefactor of SENS’s expertise and capacity in energy storage and system solutions in various generative environments, in a sustainable and cost-effective manner,” said Pasipamire.

He added that the business is excited about the collaboration and the changes it will bring about for the nation and ecology.

The Swedish business will provide Nyembesi with pertinent data and information to help it identify possible projects.

It will also oversee the project’s due diligence procedure and evaluate its viability.
