Nedbank Zimbabwe has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to the country with the construction of a new head office in Harare, signalling confidence in Zimbabwe’s economic future.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for the new headquarters at Highland Park in Harare yesterday, Nedbank Zimbabwe managing director Betty Murambadoro said the investment demonstrated the bank’s intention to remain in the country for the long haul.
“This is a testament of our confidence in Zimbabwe’s future. When you start building something, it means you want to stay. It means that you have got a long-term plan,” she said.
Murambadoro said the project was also a demonstration of the bank’s commitment to its clients, employees and other stakeholders, as it sought to deepen its presence in the market.
She said the new headquarters would provide a modern, collaborative and world-class working environment as the bank continued to support Zimbabwe’s economic and social development.
“We are going to build a modern, collaborative and world-class environment for you as we continue to support the economy and social progress. As we always say, we are here to use our financial expertise to do good,” she said.
