Harare City Council town clerk Hosiah Chisango has been arrested over alleged corruption on land allocation.
Chisango was arrested while attending a town clerks’ forum in Gweru Thursday.
Sources close to developments told Business Times that Chisango is currently detained at Gweru Central Police station.
Harare Metropolitan Province Minister Oliver Chidhawu confirmed receiving the reports.
Business Times reported on Friday that the Special Anti-Corruption Corruption Unit in President Emmerson Mnangangwa’s office was probing Harare City Council Town Clerk and directors over alleged corruption activities.
