ED makes mini-Cabinet reshuffle

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has made a mini Cabinet reshuffle re-appointed Winston Chitando as the  new mines minister, a post he held before last year’s elections, Business Times can report.

Prior to his re-appointment, Chitando was the local government minister.

Daniel Garwe has been named as the new Minister of Local Government and Public Works, moving from National Housing and Social Amenities.

Zhemu Soda, who was moved from the Mines and Mining Development Ministry, is now the new Minister of National Housing and Social Amenities.

President Mnangagwa also appointed deputy ministers.

Musa Ncube was appointed deputy minister of National Housing and Social Amenities while Headman Moyo was appointed the new deputy minister of Veterans of the Liberation Struggle Affairs.

The appointments were announced by Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr Martin Rushwaya.

 

“The appointments and re-assignments are with immediate effect,” Dr Rushwaya said.
