All roads lead to Cresta Lodge on Tuesday where female executives in the corporate NGO sectors will gather for the inaugural International Women’s Day ZiFM/Business Times business breakfast meeting.

The event coincides with the International Women’s Day 2022 which is celebrated yearly on March 8. This year’s theme is “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”.

The organisers of the breakfast meeting have assembled a team of executives that will share experiences and tips for women to succeed in male-dominated environments.

Panelists for the breakfast meeting include Chipo Ndudzo, MD at Providence Human Capital, a corporate services management firm focusing on people solutions, Securico founder Divine Ndhlukula and Faith Nehanda, Coca Cola marketing manager Zimbabwe and Zambia.

Other panelists are entrepreneur and Yanaya founder Nyaradzo Dhliwayo and learning and development consultant Mary Ndawona.

AB Communications Events & Sponsorships manager Tonderai Katsande said the breakfast meeting is there to celebrate Zimbabwean women who have been through a lot with the COVID-19 pandemic, working and schooling their children from home and still having to fight biases in the mostly male dominated business environment.

“The business breakfast is a chance to meet, network and encourage other women to persevere and learn from some of our local thought leaders’ experiences,” Katsande said.

“The global theme is #FightTheBias by working towards equal opportunities, gender balance and a sustainable future for all.

“In Zimbabwe we say musha mukadzi (a woman is the home) and we are happy to host this event and have these amazing grace us with their presence. It’s their event supported by ZiFM Stereo and Business Times. Special mention to Providence Human Capital, Coca Cola, Cresta and all our partners for helping us make this a reality. Our AB Communications team has also been outstanding. It’s an annual event that had stopped for various reasons and we will now be hosting it every year on women’s day,” Katsande said.

“Providence Human Capital has sponsored young ladies through their girls’ network bringing these young future leaders closer to some of their mentors and women that have achieved a lot in their lives and for me that one single act to help our youths helps us help young people have hope and be active in creating a better tomorrow.”
