Through its funeral business, Old Mutual Funeral Services, the organisation is providing comprehensive funeral support to help ensure that victims receive dignified farewells during this difficult period.

The support package includes collection and transportation of the deceased, hearse services, transport and logistical assistance for families, burial arrangements and administrative support related to funeral processes.

Old Mutual Funeral Services teams are also on the ground providing assistance to affected families as communities come to terms with one of the country’s worst recent tragedies.

The disaster has claimed 95 lives, , leaving communities in Kariba, Hurungwe and Siakobvu devastated.
Some families lost several members in the tragedy, deepening the scale of grief among affected communities.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has since declared the incident a State of Disaster, allowing Government to mobilise resources for search and recovery operations, funeral assistance, and medical and psychosocial support for survivors and bereaved families.

Old Mutual Zimbabwe said the intervention demonstrates its commitment to standing in solidarity with citizens during moments of national grief and ensuring families receive the necessary support for dignified burials.

Old Mutual Funeral Services provides end-to-end funeral solutions, including funeral planning and coordination, mortuary and funeral parlour services, repatriation, hearse services and burial arrangements.

The company operates in several locations across Zimbabwe, including Harare, Bulawayo, Mutare, Masvingo, Karoi, Chiredzi and Gweru, while expanding its footprint to bring services closer to communities.
