Zimbabwe CSR National awards to name Top 50 sustainable companies

The CSR Network Zimbabwe will on November 15 name Zimbabwe’s Top 50 sustainable companies at the annual Zimbabwe CSR National awards to be held at the Rainbow Towers Hotel in Harare.

The awards to be hosted under the theme: Fostering CSR In Zimbabwe to achieve a middle-income economy by 2030, will see Great companies that are positively impacting on their stakeholders, the lives of communities in which they operate as well as the environments in which they operate walk away with various appreciation accolades.

After successfully hosting provincial CSR awards in Manicaland, Masvingo, Midlands and Matabeleland, the CSRNZ says it is now time to analyse all the projects from these regions to come up with a list of Top 50 Zimbabwe Sustainable companies.

All the provincial winning projects automatically qualified, but only 50 will make it to the final list, however some of the other winning projects will be awarded in the Excellence in Community award category.

The organisations to make it in the top 50 will be judged using the following Elements of the Best CSR Programs

  • Financial Investment
  • Impact of the Project
  • Collaboration
  • Quality of Project
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Involvement
  • Inclusion, (did the project include employees at all levels)

Over 200 senior business executives are expected to attended these prestigious Responsible Business Awards to celebrate the winners.

The evening will also see business executives from across Zimbabwe celebrate their hard work, meet fellow executives delivering pioneering new strategies and learn what it takes to be one of the leading global and Zimbabwe responsible businesses.

Zimbabwe today is a fountain of vital and inventive CSR practices across the business spectrum and the annual CSR Awards are the perfect opportunity to celebrate and pay tribute to the most exciting projects.

Over the past two years of the awards, the bar continues to be raised in terms of the level of ingenuity behind each applicant’s projects as well as the depth of engagement with sustainable and socially responsible goals.
