ZESA introduces forex payment system

Power utility, ZESA Holdings’distribution and transmission subsidiary, the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC),has introduced a system that allows both post-paid and pre-paid customers to settle their bills and purchase electricity tokens in foreign currency at the prevailing exchange rate.


“The ZETDC would like to advise its valued customers that it is continuously reviewing its processes and procedures in an effort to bring convinience to customers.


“The power utility has introduced a system where all post-paid customers can now settle their bills in foreign currency at the prevailing exchange (auction) rate. The system also allows pre-paid customers to purchase electricity tokens in foreign currency,” the power utility said.
