Nyore Nyore is for everyone : Chiyangwa

The Nyore Nyore housing scheme is an opportunity for everyone including vendors, low-income earners and civil servants to afford housing and align with the government’s Vision 2030 agenda, property mogul and businessman Dr. Phillip Chiyangwa has said.
Speaking on the Temba Mkanda show on ZiFM Stereo, Dr Chiyangwa said he is committed to transforming the housing sector in Zimbabwe and the housing scheme soon to be officially launched by President Emmerson Mnangagwa is testimony to that.
“The Nyore Nyore housing scheme is for everyone in the streets including vendors and small-scale traders—because that’s where I came from,” he said.
“I respect vendors and I want all those people to have proper accommodation,” he added.
The property mogul announced plans to introduce Zimbabwe’s first gated community behind Chitungwiza, stating that construction is already underway for essential infrastructure.
He emphasized that there should be no excuses for individuals to refrain from purchasing stands, as options are readily available.
“This is the first gated community throughout Zimbabwe,” Dr. Chiyangwa said, highlighting areas such as Norton, Chegutu, Chinhoyi, Kariba, Redcliff, Gweru, Bulawayo, Victoria Falls, and Masvingo, before expanding into Mashonaland Central and the new city.
The Nyore Nyore housing project aims to provide property ownership that individuals can pass down to their children, ensuring that citizens feel secure and invested in a real movement toward homeownership.
“We are collaborating with banks to facilitate a pay-as-you-go housing project, reminiscent of the old days when people paid for properties in installments while enjoying them,” he noted.
Determined to help others avoid similar losses, the Nyore Nyore Housing Scheme offers flexible payment plans, allowing buyers to start with small amounts and gradually pay off their stands.
“Simply deposit your money with one of our partner banks—Steward Bank, NMB, or CBZ Bank—and you’ll receive your title deeds,” he explained.
Covering 590 hectares in Manyame, just behind Chitungwiza, the project has partnered with CBZ, Seeff Properties, and Bitumen World to develop a modern, fully serviced community.
Dr. Chiyangwa emphasized that it’s not about the cash one possesses; rather, it’s about ensuring a one-off payment with the possibility of gradual payments, as the name suggests—Nyore Nyore.
“Small businesses, including those requiring minimal financial input, are essential; there is no segregation of funds,” he affirmed.
“I’m committed to ensuring accessibility everywhere. This initiative is not solely run by me; it’s a collaborative effort with banks and government offices dedicated to making this program a total success. We are initially targeting 250,000 participants, potentially reaching one million by year-end,” he stated.
“Everyone can fit into this vision of empowerment unfolding in Zimbabwe. It’s crucial for people to understand that an announcement is imminent, and soon, we will be launching this transformative initiative.”
