Delta welcomes 2025 Bursary recipients

….urges them to uphold excellence and integrity

Delta Corporation, Zimbabwe’s biggest brewer,  yesterday welcomed the recipients of its 2025 bursary program, encouraging them to embrace excellence, integrity, and innovation as they pursue their academic dreams.

Speaking at the Bursary Induction Program, Patricia Murambinda, the General Manager Corporate Affairs at Delta Corporation, emphasised the importance of these values, urging students to remain disciplined and resilient in the face of challenges.

“As you embark on this academic journey, I encourage you to work hard, remain disciplined, and uphold the values of excellence, integrity, and innovation. These are the same principles that drive us at Delta Corporation. Challenges will arise, but your determination and resilience will define your path to success,” Murambinda said.

She also congratulated the students on their achievement and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to investing in young talent.

“Education is the foundation of a brighter future—not just for individuals, but for communities and the nation at large. That is why we remain committed to supporting talented young people like you, who have shown exceptional dedication, perseverance, and potential,” she added.

The Delta Corporation Bursary Program is designed to support academically gifted students who may lack the financial resources to pursue their studies. Murambinda encouraged the beneficiaries to work hard and give back to their communities, thanking parents and guardians for their unwavering support.

“Delta Corporation will continue to support and guide you, and we look forward to witnessing your growth and achievements in the years to come,” she said.

The bursary recipients expressed their appreciation, vowing to make the most of the opportunity.

“As a girl, this is a huge advantage because many young women are often disadvantaged when it comes to scholarships like this. I see this as a chance to excel in school,” said Patience Machesi from St. James Chikukwa.

Bradley Makuvaro, a Lower Six student at Bradley High School, echoed similar sentiments:

“It’s a great honor to receive this bursary. I am truly grateful.”

Parents and guardians also lauded Delta Corporation for its inclusive approach.

“Delta Corporation does not discriminate. My child has a spinal deformity, yet she was accepted for this scholarship. I am very grateful that she now has the support to complete her A-Level studies,” said Susan Mashinganidze.

Delta Corporation’s bursary scheme provides financial assistance to students pursuing Advanced Level and university studies. Beyond education, the initiative aims to uplift communities where the company operates, making a meaningful impact on the lives of Zimbabweans.

By supporting education, Delta Corporation is investing in the future leaders and change-makers of Zimbabwe, reaffirming its commitment to building a brighter tomorrow.
