The Nomads Zimbabwe National Golf Tournament gets underway this morning at Elephant Hills golf course in the resort town of Victoria Falls and runs up to Sunday.

At least 200 golfers from several countries have signed up to take part in the tournament. The golfers participating in the country’ biggest annual non-professional golfing extravaganza are from Zimbabwe, South Africa, Australia, Eswatini and Zambia, among many other countries.

This year’s tournament is sponsored by  a number of companies , including  platinum sponsor Delta Beverages,  Nyaradzo Group and First Link Insurance Brokers, among many others.

“A lot of work has been done to ensure that the course is in very good condition for us to play. (However), golf chart availability is a serious challenge in Victoria Falls. We have tried our level best to mobilize, but achieved limited success,” Clever Chikwari, the national coordinator, said.

He added: “Please be warned that our starters are under strict instructions to observe tee-off time. You are therefore kindly requested to be at the tee box at least 10 minutes before your tee-off time.
