First Capital Bank has introduced two enhanced digital capabilities that are expected to positively reshape customer’s online banking digital experience as the  financial institutions accelerates its digitisation drive.

First Capital has launched Alisa, a WhatsApp Banking Chatbot, to create an easier customer service journey.

The innovation sees customers taking their first step in the use of Artificial Intelligence comprised of machine learning and cognitive computing technologies to provide customers and clients with various banking services and transaction capabilities.

According to the bank, Alisa brings peace of mind with unique privacy and security settings that comprise of end-to-end encryption plus identification and verification processes prior to the completion of any personal banking transactions or information sharing.

Interactions with Alisa are free, with charges applying to transactions as per their tariffs.

Speaking on the launch of Alisa WhatsApp Banking Chatbot, First Capital Bank managing director, Ciaran McSharry said; “We are channelling our maximum efforts to not only align and customise our service offering to the changing consumer needs but also to anticipate their needs of the future and make banking an enjoyable and relevant experience.”

The bank also  introduced Reverse Billing also known as Zero Rating solution that helps to bring additional value to its customers and address the issue of banking ancillary costs in the prevailing environment while  bringing added accessibility by addressing the data costs issue.

This development sets First Capital Bank apart, making them one of the few banks currently offering this service.
