At least 75 families whose homes and crops were destroyed by a hailstorm in Mazorodze village, Chivi district, Masvingo Province last month are appealing for assistance from well-wishers to rebuild their lives, BusinessTimes can report.
They said the hailstorm left them hopeless.

Another villager concurred.
“I was left devastated when the hailstorm ended. All my two houses were brought to rubles. I am pleading for assistance from well-wishers as we are now squatting in a single room with family,” the villager, who also requested anonymity, said.
A third villager weighed in saying: “My two children were caught by the hailstorm while a distance away from home. I had to look for them in a bush where I found them hiding and badly injured in the head.”
