THE Zimbabwe Agricultural Society (ZAS) has slated the 110th edition of the Zimbabwe Agriculture Show from October 28 to October 31 2020 in order to allow companies to showcase their innovations despite challenges brought about by Covid-19 pandemic.

The show, which is traditionally held in August, will be held under the theme, Synergies for Growth, Cooperate, Collaborate and Complement, to rally support for the cause of agriculture and attendant value chains for increased production, productivity and profitability.

ZAS acting chief executive Enkelbert Makaure told journalists Monday this year’s edition presents platform for innovations in response to the epidemic following the lockdown measures instituted in March to contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The show will be a show with a difference as it will demonstrate the resilience of the Zimbabwean people and their determination to succeed under the most trying conditions especially unprecedented challenges triggered by the pandemic,” Makaure said.

Some companies are said to be on the ground working on their stands while some events will be held virtually in line with measures to curb the spread of Covid-19.
