Zimswitch rolls out ZEEPAY

Zimswitch on Monday officially launched  an electronic funds transfer (EFT) system called Zimswitch Enhanced Electronic Payments (ZEEPAY) after successfully completing pilot tests, Business Times can report.

 

Zimswitch Deputy CEO Zabron Chilakalaka said the system, which enable users to send money to multiple recipients,  got  all necessary regulatory approvals.

“We have now concluded the processes and are now ready for full go live starting Monday July 26 ,2021. We now call on all our participants to on-board the platform to ensure full market interoperability leveraging tried and tested technology,” Chilakalaka said in a statement.

He added: “As you will be aware, we have been working with the industry to roll out a modern solution for EFT transactions (ZEEPAY). We are pleased to announce that we have successfully completed our proof of concept and pilot tests with the first participants who onboarded the solution.”

 

Chilakalaka said following the successful proof of concept and pilot, Zimswitch has entered the phase of finalising commercials with the stakeholders whilst freezing activity on the platform pending actual go live.

 

 

Zimswitch  is optimistic that it will ensure uninterrupted and cost-effective service to meet the business needs.

Zimswitch assured the market that ZEEPAY will meet market needs for EFT transactions and is built on international standards making it a ready gateway for regional and international payments.

 

It said its solution is scalable and has the capability to support an array of future developments and value-added services in this ever-dynamic payments landscape.

 

This is in addition to the flexibility to integrate with various fintech solutions.

 

The payments partner will  appraise the market when it roll-outs  new features on the platform.

Chilakalaka said Zimswitch business and technical teams are ready to provide support to ensure a seamless go live and onboarding for new participants on the platform.
