Listed financial services group, ZB Financial  Holdings Limited  (ZBFHL) will splurge US$10m in its transformation drive.

ZBFHL operates ZB Bank, ZB Building Society, ZB Life Assurance, ZB Reinsurance, ZB Capital and  ZB Transfer Secretaries, among other units.

ZBFHL group CEO, Shepherd Fungura told Business Times that more than half of the branches would be rebranded by year-end. The balance will be rebranded next year.

‘’We are going to spend between US$5m and US$10m on this programme because we actually believe in changing ourselves,” Fungura said.

He added: “Currently, we have 60 plus branches and by the end of year we should have done 35, transforming them into service centres.

“The 35 branches will be spread across Zimbabwe. And then the balance of the branches we do into next year.”

Key to this transformation is digitisation.

“We have gotten ourselves into a transformation drive as ZB and one of the key drivers is the digital transformation which gives us the ability to access our customers much more efficiently and also customers being able to access us with more convenience,’’ Fungura said.

ZB rebranding  started early this year at the group’s headquarters in Avondale and is now in full swing  as branch renovations are already taking place with the digital upgrade in progress.

The group’s  staff is also  undergoing retraining as they are being prepared for this major shift in the way they do business.

According to ZB customers can expect an interaction which is better than before.

The rebranding will see ZB also unveiling a fresh logo, which is accompanied by a new look to its banking halls, signalling the financial institution’s transformation.
