ZB Financial Holdings Limited has appointed Shepherd Tapiwanashe Fungura as group CEO with effect from August 1.
He takes over from Fanuel Kapanje who has been holding forte in an acting capacity following the resignation of group CEO Ron Mutandagayi at the end of May.
Fungura was CEO of Raknok Enterprises (Pvt) Limited. Before that, he was MD of Old Mutual Insurance Company, a position he held from May 2019 to April 2021.
He had been elevated from the position of General Manager and Group Chief Risk Officer of Old Mutual Property Limited (Zimbabwe) and Old Mutual Zimbabwe Limited respectively over the period October 2017 to April 2019 and May 2014 to September 2017 respectively.
An actuary by profession, Fungura holds a BCom Actuarial Science from the National University of Science and Technology.
