The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) will on Wednesday officially unveil a nationwide anti-corruption campaign in partnership with the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA).

The campaign will be launched by President Emmerson Mnangagwa in the capital as part of his administration’s thrust on fighting corruption.

Prosecutor General Kumbirai Hodzi told a pre-launch press brief this morning the programme gives more teeth to the anti-corruption machinery.

He hinted more arrests will be made in the coming few weeks.

This comes as former Tourism Minister Prisca Mupfumira languishes in remand prison as she faces a number of charges including swindling the National Social Security Authority of more than US$90 million.

ZACC chair Loice Matanda-Moyo said the media remains critical in the fight against corruption and has so far been reporting “correctly” on corruption.
