Yadah signs Khama in shocking transfer coup

…..Expected to be unveiled today
SPORTS REPORTER
Khama Billiat, a former Warriors star, has signed with Yadah FC, an ambitious Premier Soccer League outfit, ending weeks of speculation.
Billiat, who was without a club after leaving the Kaizer Chiefs last season, is expected to be unveiled today.
He last played competitive football last season before turning his back at Amakhosi ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Billiat passed up the chance to extend his deal with the Soweto giants.
However, the choice seemed to have backfired because he spent eight months looking for a new club.
He tried his luck at SuperSport United a few weeks ago, but nothing materialized. He also failed to strike a contract with Cape Town City FC.
The highly-regarded forward was first expected to sign with Dynamos, but in an unexpected transfer coup, he turned down the Harare giants.
Yadah FC has fought against relegation in practically every season of competition. Actually, Billiat’s choice was motivated by the club’s financial wherewithal as it is financed by prominent prophet Walter Magaya.
Cub chairperson Everson Chatambudza confirmed acquiring Billiat’s services on a one-year deal.
“I can confirm Khama Billiat has joined Yadah FC. We are looking forward to doing the unveiling tomorrow [Thursday]. That’s what we are working on at the moment,” Chatambudza said.
“He will be with us only for a year. We want him to play for us, so he will not be loaned to Dynamos as has been reported.”
