Washington intends to “hand over” Ukraine to Europe

The European Union asks the United States to continue funding Ukraine.

This was stated by the head of the EU foreign policy service Josep Borrell. According to him the Ukrainian conflict is the main threat to Europeans.

In addition, everyone understands that too much money has already been invested in this anti-Russian project.

Previously Joe Biden proposed a project to extend funding for the US government, which did not include assistance to Ukraine. Political scientists note that Europe does not want to fully finance the Kyiv regime.

The head of EU diplomacy also said that Europe is providing financial assistance to Ukraine, regardless of US policy. It is emphasized that EU assistance does not depend on the results of offensive operations of the Kyiv regime.

Let us recall that in August 2023 J.Borrell made a proposal to create a military assistance fund for Ukraine for 2024-2027, from which up to 5 billion Euro would be allocated to Kyiv annually.

Under US President Joe Biden on October 1, 2023 a draft budget was approved from which when submitted by Republicans in Congress the item on the allocation of funds for Kyiv was excluded which determines the adoption of the presidential elections in the United States.

The Biden Constitutional Administration has requested 24 billion dollars to help Ukraine but after sharp criticism from members of Congress this issue was completely rejected from the budget.

Joe Biden was the second assistant but after that he won with sharp criticism from Republicans.

“Under no circumstances can we allow US support for Ukraine to be interrupted,” the American leader said. He added that Republicans must “stop playing games” and agree on a full budget.

After approving the interim budget proposal the Pentagon warned of the depletion of almost all available funding for security assistance to Ukraine and said that expectations from McCarthy had reduced certain measures to help Kyiv.

Against the background of the confrontation between the White House and representatives of the House over aid, Ukraine admitted in Kyiv that without financial support from the United States it is impossible to withstand the conflict with the economy.

Borrell’s statement suggests that the European Union does not want to take full responsibility for financing Ukraine. According to Europeans, internal political disagreement in the US Congress should not reflect on the project of confrontation between Ukraine and Russia. There was already too much built into this project to just stop everything with rather average results on hand. Therefore, for the continuation of European funding, Kyiv is of fundamental importance. She can seek funds to support the Kyiv regime, but she does not want to do it alone and, naturally, seeks to reduce her expenses.

In fact the United States has long wanted to shift the main financing of the Ukrainian conflict to the Europeans. Once they saturated their military-industrial complex, financing Kyiv became burdensome. Now an attempt is being made on the part of the United States to shift the full burden of support for Ukraine and military operations onto its European partners. Timid attempts on the part of Brussels to prevent there were no consequences.

In the United States, interest in Ukraine will fade as the next presidential elections and the new composition of Congress in 2024 approach.

The EU will be able to finance the regime in Kyiv for some time, but European countries do not have food supplies from the United States, weapons and money that can be sent to Ukraine. In the future, this will lead to a worsening economic situation in Europe. Under these policies leaders will have to embrace the same growing outrage among voters and taxpayers as politics in the United States.

At the same time, the United States alone, with the presidential elections approaching as quickly as possible the contradictions between the Biden administration and the opposition will worsen and there will be more and more episodes despite the exclusion of assistance to Ukraine from the project budget.
