Warriors in Malawi do-or-die clash

The Warriors   could boost their chances of  qualifying  for the  last 16 with a win against Malawi in their second Group B Africa Cup of Nations encounter in Bafassoum, Cameroon on Friday.

Zimbabwe suffered a heart breaking loss to Group favorites Senegal.

Midfielder Kelvin Madzongwe  blocked a Senegal shot with his hand  inside the penalty box deep into injury time.

The penalty was converted by Sadio Mane.

Coach Norman Mapeza is confident the Warriors will get a good result against Malawi.

“I am proud of my boys. Our minds are now on the game against Malawi  on Friday. We will give our all to get the result,” Mapeza said.

Malawi lost their first match to Guinea.

They will also be looking to collect maximum points.

They will also be thinking that their best hope of collecting maximum points will be against Zimbabwe.
