Walter Musona Crowned 2024 Soccer Star of the Year

Walter Musona, the captain of Simba Bhora, was honored as the 2024 Soccer Star of the Year during a spectacular ceremony on Friday evening.
This marks Musona’s second win, having previously claimed the award in 2022. His exceptional season saw him net 10 goals for Simba Bhora while also delivering outstanding performances for the senior national team.
Highlanders striker Lynoth Chikuhwa was named the first runner-up, capping off a stellar season with 17 goals, which secured him the prestigious Golden Boot award. Khama Billiat rounded out the top three as the second runner-up.
In other accolades, Tonderayi Ndiraya was awarded Coach of the Year, and Billiat also took home the Fans’ Player of the Year award, following his 13 goals and numerous assists for the Miracle Boys.
The Referee of the Year title was awarded to Brighton Chimhene, with Owen Manenda and Polite Dube recognized as first and second runners-up, respectively.
Telone’s Allan Chapinduka was celebrated as the Most Promising Player of the Year, while Chicken Inn’s Donovan Bernard secured the Goalkeeper of the Year award, boasting an impressive 20 clean sheets this season.
