Vineyard launches special promotion for lapsed policies

BUSINESS REPORTER
Vineyard Funeral Assurance has launched a special promotion where it is inviting its clients with lapsed policies to reactivate their accounts under relaxed conditions.
The company is one of the country’s fastest growing funeral assurance services brands and says it cannot abandon its partners merely due to a tough operating environment.
Vineyard Funeral Assurance managing director Solomon Chikanda said the gesture is for policyholders who may have been affected by several problems.
The promotion runs from August 1 to 31 to give its clients an opportunity to link up again, revive their policies and continue from where they left, Chikanda said.
“There won’t be a need to start afresh and we are of the opinion that our clients deserved this promotion,” he said.
The promotion will go a long way in reducing the returning clients’ waiting period to one month if they choose to pay for six months in advance.
The normal waiting period is three months for the policyholder and immediate family members, and six months for dependants.
Policyholders joining for the first time will also benefit from the August promotion window, with an opportunity to wait for one month if they pay for six months in advance, Chikanda said.
Vineyard has to date rolled out new product offerings that are compatible with the current liquidity environment without compromising on the quality of the end product.
The company introduced various funeral policies that are Step Plan, Decavine Plan and also now has an option of Memorial Provider Benefit which provides stabilising income to the surviving spouse in the event of death of a breadwinner.
This benefit will be payable for 12 months immediately following the death of the breadwinner.
