Victoria Falls Carnival wagon gets in motion

In less than two weeks, The Zambezi Lager Victoria Falls Carnival roars into life with organisers promising a bigger and better event.

Following the major success of last year’s fete, the Carnival has once again created the best way to spend the last three days of 2018.

Adventure beckons at the fete as merrymakers will be treated to a lifetime experience through activities like cross-country travel, adrenaline-fueled adventure and top music.

Darryn Lee, the public relations officer for the carnival has rolled out the programme for the festival.

The first day of the jamboree will see an African carnival train and secret bush party.

“Hop on board our African Carnival TRAIN & SECRET BUSH PARTY. This event sells-out every because it is a journey unlike any other – Hop onboard for this insanely beautiful trip with exciting DJ’s both on and off the train. The African Carnival Train artists include DJ Francis DJ China Easy Freak DJ Invizable Niskerone Jason Le Roux Ryan Synth Lazarus Man,” he said in a statement.

The second day will see a concert at Victoria Falls Primary  that will be headlined by South African group Freshlyground.

“An electric night of the best in live house, afro, indie and electro-pop in addition to a host of local community parties to keep the celebrations going at our Electric Safari Concert. The Concert artists include DJ China, Hazel, Mac, Freshlyground, Lady Zamar,  Black Motion and Hyena,”

The last day of the carnival will see several local musicians uniting for the New Year’s Unity Concert.

That will see artists include So Kindly, Makoomba, Flying Bantu, BCUC, Ammara Brown, Prince Kaybee, Jason Le Roux and  Lazarus Man Bahna ushering merrymakers into the New Year.

“Preparations are going well and we are expecting this year’s event to be bigger and better,” he added.
