Tryson Chimbetu to launch new album

After halting the launch of his sixth studio project, dendera musician Tryson Chimbetu has decided to release the album this Thursday at East Point in town.

Titled “Kana Mazogara”, the ten track album features other top entertainers, including Andy Muridzo and Soul Jah Love, giving fresh a new direction to his music.

Despite performing some of the songs live and getting positive feedback from his fans, Chimbetu shelved his plans to release his new album with sources saying his marital woes were the root cause.

The young musician took over the reign of Marxist Brothers following the death of his father Naison, who was brother to Simon Chimbetu.

Titles to look out for from the album are “Chisipite”, “Bonus”, “Ndazomuwana”, “Tachema Kunamwari”, “African Girl” that featured Soul Jah Love, “Chipoko” and “Amai Maria” that featured Andy Muridzo.

“There are a lot of things that happened this past year which delayed my album launch. I’m now happy though that people will now have an opportunity to enjoy the album,” he said.

He has worked with different producers to produce the album, including Oskid and Munya Vhiyali.

“Recording dendera beats ordinarily requires live instruments but we have decided to include some digital beats as a way of bringing unique sounds to our music,” he said.
