TIMB appoints Gudu new CEO

The Tobacco Industry and Marketing Board (TIMB) has appointed a new chief executive officer, Meanwell Gudu, following the end of Andrew Matibiri’s tenure.
The appointment is with effect from April 14, 2021.
Prior to the appointment, Gudu was TIMB’s technical services executive .
The TIMB chairman, Patrick Devenish, said: “The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Meanwell Gudu as substantive chief executive of TIMB with effect from April 14 2021.
“Meanwell’s appointment was done in terms of Section 17 (2) of the Public Entities Corporate Governance Act [Chapter 10:31].
The appointment was approved by Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Settlement minister Anxious Masuka with the approval of President Emmerson Mnangagwa.”
