Dubbed the biggest party of the year in Africa, the Victoria Falls Carnival, rolls into life next month, with an impressive line-up of local and international artists.

The year-ending three-day party will kick-off on December 29 and will run until December 31 2018 in the resort town. The fete, which is expected to be decorated by an array of top entertainers across the African continent, on an incredible setting is expected to be graced by merrymakers from across the globe.

The organisers of this year’s festival have added Tshwane based group Black Motion to an already impressive line-up, which includes several other top performers such as South Africabased Lady Zamar, Freshlyground and Prince Kaybee.

Smash-hit songstress Lady Zamar is behind hits like ‘My Baby’, ‘Love is Blind’, ‘Collide’ and many more while Prince Kaybee will once again ignite the festival with his signature mix of club anthems.

The party begins on December 29 with a train and bush party.

Dubbed “African Carnival train,” the party gives a fresh dimension of merrymaking as people will be in an iconic thermal-powered train. To keep the trip livened up some DJs— both on board and off the train will entertain revellers until they get to the bush for a braai.

Merrymaking continues the following day with a massive bash that will feature one of South Africa’s most loved bands Freshlyground.

The group that was formed in Cape Town in 2002 blends elements of traditional South African music, blues, jazz, and features of indie rock. Local community parties will be in motion to keep the celebrations electrified.

Adventure is what people will be looking for at the jamboree, and their Unity New Year’s Concert incorporates all, as there will be fire breathers, traditional dancers and a host of amazing artists.

Darryn Lee, spokesperson of the fete said preparations of the festival are at an advanced stage.

“With so many more acts still to come you cannot miss out on this spectacular event. This time around we are treating people in a different way. We have a three Day Pass which is only $75 and a two Day Pass at $50 only. These are very limited and when they are sold out, the prices will increase by $15. Following the major success of last year’s format, the Victoria Falls Carnival has once again created the best way to spend your last three days of 2018,” he said.
