Digital solutions company, Tano Digital, says it is targeting to expand into Rwanda following a successful Rwanda-Zimbabwe Trade and Investment Conference held recently.
The investment conference was held in Kigali, Rwanda.
Tano Digital has operations in Zimbabwe, South Africa and Botswana.
The development was confirmed by Tano Digital executive chairman, Wallen Mangere, who told Business Times in Kigali that the Rwanda conference came at the right time as they are looking to expand.
“We are always looking to grow and expand. We have been hearing about how Rwanda is a great place to do business and has a lot of opportunities.
We decided to take a look for ourselves to see if indeed those opportunities really do exist,” Mangere told Business Times.
He added: “Through the conference we have managed to establish some significant business which we will be following through and hoping to close within the next couple weeks.”
“The good thing about Rwanda is that they acknowledge where they are not doing so well and as Zimbabwe we can bring in the skills and Rwanda is welcome to have those skills.
In the SAP space they do not have anybody playing significantly in there so there is a gap in the market that we looking to fill”
“Also just the ability to collaborate with other companies in the country (Rwanda)brings a unique way of doing business and different business models compared to how things in Zimbabwe” he added.
