Listed consumer discretionary concern, Simbisa Brands Limited, has unveiled new service application that provides convenience to customers as well as solve the US$ change crisis, Business Times can report.

The application, Innbucks, enables customers to load  US dollars up to US$200 at till points  into their  wallets for swipe purchases at any Chicken Inn, Pizza Inn, Creamy Inn, Baker’s Inn,  Steers, Nando’s and any other Simbisa outlets.

It also allows customers to load change into their wallets.

InnBucks will also allow  customers to send  money to a friend.

Analysts told Business Times that InnBucks  is expected to shake up the domestic remittances as the service is likely to provide fierce competition to established industry giants like Mukuru and others as it only charges 2% to the sender compared to 5% which is charged by other money transfer  service providers.

“The main thing which prompted us to come up with Innbucks was the need to provide a solution to the change crisis since our customers were being forced to take things that they didn’t need. This service provides a solution to that,’’ Warren Meares, the Simbisa Brands managing director  said.

He added: “Moreso the platform is commonplace for customers to want to buy meals for either friends or family members in another location or town.

“Innbucks gives customers a way to do this at the click of a button. When the money is sent one can also withdraw it from any Simbisa outlet with the sender being charged just 2%.’’

In the outlook, Simbisa will add 40 new outlets to 531 they already have across the country this coming year so as to make Innbucks accessible almost to everyone and ascertain their dominance in the country as the leading fast food restaurant.

The InnBucks platform is going to lock in customers and encourage more payments in US$ as the MD noted that there will be a number of promotions and benefits for those who buy using the app.

“There are more promotions to come and we will definitely give our customers a reason to enjoy InnBucks through and through,” Meares said.
