Industry and Commerce permanent secretary Mavis Sibanda will be the key speaker at the 2nd Women’s Business Leadership Roundtable (WLBR2021) which seeks to identify practical solutions to the challenges faced by Zimbabwe’s women entrepreneurs.
The virtual event will be held on August 6.
The organisers say the WLBR2021 draws on high-quality speakers of undisputed pedigree to help stimulate and inspire the growth of vibrant women executives and entrepreneurs in the context of barriers to growth and profitability faced by women entrepreneurs.
“Through deep-dive analysis, The Roundtable goes beyond looking at contextual, endowment and household restrictions in isolation and uncovers new evidence on how social norms, networks and household-level decision making contribute to business performance,” the organisers said.
The organisers say the objective of the Women’s Business Leadership Roundtable 2021 is to build a very strong women business leaders movement with critical skills and knowledge base in embracing the 4th industrial revolution with the much needed expertise in venture capital raising, confronting stumbling blocks in business and investing in the capital market.
Topics to be covered include, Investing in the capital market: Making money through the stock exchange, Leveraging on the African Continental Free Trade Area and Capital Raising: Venture Capital.
This year’s event is held under the theme, Women Unlocking New Frontiers.
