SA’s golfer Ivan Verster takes lead heading into Sunday finals

South Africa’s Ivan Verster is heading into Sunday final round on top of the leaderboard at the inaugural First Capital Bank Zimbabwe Junior Golf Open at Borrowdale Brooke Golf Estate in the capital Harare.

Zimbabwean golfer, Keegan Shutt is second after posting solid scores. Another local golfer,Pranacy Kapur is third on 3 over par 147.

Margarat Nyamukondiwa lead the girls category by 9 points from Primrose Chikwanya.

 

An array of golfers from six countries including Zimbabwe, South Africa, Zambia, China, and Malawi are taking part in the tournament,

 

Tsitsi Munyaradzi, the communications manager of First Capital Bank says the bank is excited to be the main sponsor.

 

“We are so excited to be part of the event as the main sponsor. The talent being showcased here is exceptional and the handicaps are just amazing. We have managed to harness our regional capability where we have harnessed six countries,” Munyaradzi said.

She added: “We are just excited to come together under the spirit of sports.We are a business that believe in potential .

“Our hashtag is #belief comes first. We are really excited to be part of this change where we are realizing and harnessing the potential in sports with these young people. I must say they are really putting up a show.”
