Power Giants CEO scoops top award

Power Giants Africa CEO , Dr Edzai Kachirekwa has won the Super Platinum Award at the Professional Excellence Awards hosted by the Zimbabwe CEOs Network in Harare.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Dr. Kachirekwa said, “Today I am celebrating 26 years in the field of electrical engineering and Power Giants is dominating in most areas. It was God who raised me up from nothing. I thank Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa and his wife, Ruth, Mr Elias Hwenga and his wife for their mentorship.”
Dr. Kachirekwa was praised by the event organizer.
“…Your dedication and exceptional contributions have not gone unnoticed, and it is truly an honour to recognize your outstanding achievements in your industry. Your commitment to excellence is an inspiration to us all. Congratulations on your well-deserved award for The Professional Excellence Awards,” the organisers said.
Dr. Kachirekwa is renowned for his business acumen and entrepreneurship skills. From being a destitute on the streets of Harare at one time to becoming a towering figure in the field of electrical engineering in Zimbabwe and beyond, he has seen it all. Though his journey to the top has not been an easy one.
He was recently honoured in neighbouring Zambia for his contributions to humanity in the energy and power sector in the region. He was also bestowed with the Excellent Strategic Business Leader Award by the Zimbabwe Institute of Strategic Thinking before he went on to be selected among 100 Africa Most Influential Persons for his contribution to the continent’s development at an event organised by the Business Executive Media Group, a regional publishing, special events organising, public policy advocacy and private enterprise promotion and facilitation group of companies headquartered in Accra, Ghana.
Over the years, he scooped many accolades including the Distinguished Clean Energy Champion Award (Zimbabwe Community Trailblazers Awards 2023), the Top Five Innovators of The Year 2023 Award, the Leading Client Engagement Professional who personifies Impeccable Professional Standards Award.
He is also the National Secretary for the Entrepreneurs Network of Zimbabwe (ENZ), organizers of the Annual National Iconic Entrepreneurs Awards among many other notable achievements.
