Postal, courier conference on today

Zimbabwe’s postal and courier industry will today converge in Harare for the Zimbabwe Annual Postal and Courier Conference and Exhibition, hosted by Business Times.
Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Minister Tatenda Mavetera is set to headline the high-profile event, which is being held under the theme, “Transforming Postal and Courier Services for the Digital Economy.”
The conference will bring together key players from the telecommunications, postal, courier, financial services and logistics sectors, among many other sectors.
The event is expected to provide a platform for industry leaders, regulators and businesses to examine emerging opportunities, challenges and investment prospects as technology reshapes the delivery of postal, courier and logistics services.
Companies exhibiting at the event include Telco, DHL, TelOne, Merchant Courier, POTRAZ, Nicoz Diamond, POSB, National Handling Services, GRUMA, ZIMPOST, African Global Logistics and FedEx.
Regulatory issues are also expected to feature prominently, with POTRAZ providing an opportunity for stakeholders to engage on developments shaping the operating environment, service delivery and investment across the postal and telecommunications sectors.
The conference comes as digitalisation, e-commerce and changing consumer expectations continue to reshape traditional postal and courier business models, placing greater emphasis on efficiency, technology and integrated logistics solutions.
