NicozDiamonds gets ISO certification

NicozDiamond has been granted the globally recognised International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 9001 certification by the Standards Association of Zimbabwe (SAZ).

SAZ is the national standards body established in 1957 to facilitate the development and use of standards in order to enhance Zimbabwe’s competitiveness.

The ISO 9001 of 2015 is an international standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Speaking at the certification handover ceremony, Mr. David Nyabadza, CEO of NicozDiamond General Insurance Cluster, noted that the certification represents a critical turning point in the company’s pursuit of excellence.

“This achievement signifies our  devotion to not only meeting but surpassing the expectations of our valued customers. We take great pride in being a business that constantly strives to uphold the most exacting standards across all aspects of our operations,” Nyabadza said.

He added: “ Our relentless quest for excellence goes beyond mere aspiration; it is ingrained in our core values of integrity, accountability, professionalism, sustainability, care, and innovation.

“These pillars not only define who we are but also guide us in every decision we make and every action we take, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of our industry, setting benchmarks for others to follow.

As a point of background, our business initially achieved ISO certification in 2012, but there was a time when we faltered in our commitment and let our certification lapse.

“However, recognising the vital importance of this accreditation in benchmarking our processes and ensuring customer satisfaction, we made a decisive commitment in 2020 to reignite our journey towards ISO compliance. This marked a significant turning point for us, symbolising a renewed dedication to the principles of quality management and continuous enhancement that define our attitude as a forward-thinking and customer-centric insurance company.”
