The newly build Natpharm warehouse in Masvingo is set to transform the pharmaceutical landscape in the province, significantly improving medicine storage and distribution for health facilities across seven districts.

Linda Chamboko, Natpharm Masvingo Branch Manager, described the facility as a game-changer, emphasising its advanced features designed to safeguard medicine quality.

“The warehouse is equipped with a solar power system to ensure uninterrupted storage conditions during power outages,” Chamboko added.

Currently serving 250 healthcare facilities, the warehouse is expected to streamline pharmaceutical  distribution, ensuring critical medicines are consistently  available to the communities that need them.

The project was funded through a collaboration between the Ministry of Health and Child Care and the United Nations Development Programme, reflecting a strong commitment to improving  healthcare infrastructure in Zimbabwe.

The new facility highlights the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare delivery and aligns with broader national goals of ensuring equitable access to essential medicines.
