Mutare premiership side, Manica Diamonds Football Club, this week sealed a kit sponsorship deal with sport apparel company OTB Looks Sportswear, worth US$300 000 for three seasons.
Masimba Chihowa, the chairman of the Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company-bankrolled outfit said it was refreshing to get a partner such as an England based sportswear provider.
‘’We are very happy to have a partner like the Looks brand,” Chihowa said.
He added: “Currently we can say we have five partners, the company sponsoring the club, the media, supporters and the sponsors and we hope and be mindful of time frames on the games that are set to begin as we have already kicked off with the Chibuku Super Cup that is already underway.’’
Peter Chiveso, the Looks Sports Equipment Apparel representative said the sponsorship deal worth US$100 000 annually would stretch for the next three seasons.
“We are very proud to announce the signing deal that is valued US$100 000 a season that includes supply, training, travel and match day gear as well as replica gear for players, team management, technical staff and executives,” Chiveso said.
Looks has also partnered Highlanders, Dynamos, Simba Bhora FC in the past 12 months.
“I would like to welcome Manica Diamonds to the Big Boys Club where the team joins other big clubs in the Premiership and Division One,” Chiveso said.
