Knowledge returns to the Warriors for World Cup qualifiers

Veteran forward Knowledge Musona has made a sensational return to the Zimbabwe national football team, marking a major highlight in coach Michael Nees’ squad selection for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Benin and Nigeria.

Musona, initially retired from international football in 2022 but has been persuaded to return by Nees, who has long sought his comeback.

However, Zimbabwe will be without current captain Marvelous Nakamba, who has been ruled out due to injury.

The Warriors will play Benin on March 20 in Durban. Four days later, they will travel to Uyo, Nigeria, to face the Super Eagles on March 24.
