Nestle Zimbabwe corporate and public affairs manager executive Farai Munetsi has died.
A family member confirmed to the Business Times that the former Dynamos Football club chairman passed on this morning after a long battle with kidney problems.
“He died this morning and we are on our way to his house in Borrowdale where people are going to gather for his funeral. It’s a sad loss for the family and the business fraternity.
“He was the backbone of the family and a jovial character. We will miss him,” said the family member who did not want to be identified.
Efforts to get an official comment from Nestle Zimbabwe headquarters were fruitless, but a lady who answered the phone could neither confirm nor deny the development.
Munetsi, a veteran business executive, at one point led Harare giants Dynamos when they participated in the African Champions League.
