Dancehall musician Jah Signal has lined up an executive launch for his album “Jaya” at Club Sankayi on Wednesday.

The black tie event is meant to introduce the musician’s product to several business executives in the capital.

Top businessman and owner of the club Genius ‘Ginimbi’ Kadungure, Tino Machakaire populary known as Tinmac, Mike Chimombe and Thompson Dondo are expected to grace the event.

Event coordinator Wanisayi Mutandwa popularly known as Mahwindo said they wanted to take the musician to another level.

“This is the first of it’s kind in Zim dancehall and we have started with Jah Signal because of his humbleness. The genre is fast growing and has captured all ages therefore we decided to have a black tie event for the young musician,” she said.

She said that this would also be an opportunity for the musician to open some business links as the launch will be graced by top business executives.

Club Sankayi has become the hub of top spenders as well as popular socialites. The musician is ecstatic about the idea of introducing his album to top executives.

“This is a very good idea to have the album introduced to top business executives because we need their support. This is a move that will definitely give me valuable insight,” he said.

Musicians in Zimbabwe have not really made a habit of investing the money they make, with some of them ending up dying with little to their names.

“Music is a business, we need to invest because you will reach your peak but when you die no one will remember you. We need to invest so that we do justice for our children,” he said.
