Jacob Mafume new Harare mayor

MDC Alliance councillor, Jacob Mafume, has been elected as the new Mayor for Harare following an election held Thursday.

He polled 19 votes against Luckson Mukunguma who had 14. Mafume replaces Hebert Gomba who was recently recalled by the MDC-T led by Thokozani Khupe.

MDC Alliance controls Harare as Zanu PF has one councillor.
