ICAZ appoints Mandisodza as new CEO

The Institute of Chartered Accountants Zimbabwe (ICAZ) has appointed William Mandisodza as its new CEO with effect from March 1.

He takes over from Owen Mavengere who has been the acting CEO following the departure of Gloria Zvaravanhu at the end of last year.

In a notice, ICAZ said Mandisodza brings a wealth of experience obtained locally and internationally “as well as cross sector exposure”.

“He has contributed immensely in various capacities with the Institute. He is the outgoing chairman of Mashonaland District Society and currently a member of the Institute’s Accounting Procedures Committee. He played a significant role in the formation of ICAZ (UK) and was its inaugural chairman,” ICAZ said.

Meanwhile, ICAZ has promoted Mavengere as the new technical director with effect from March 1.

He is the ICAZ’s technical manager with “strong managerial and operational experience in strategy formulation, reporting, financial analysis, international financial reporting standards, audit, risk management, internal controls as well as collaboration and communication with various stakeholders”.
