Humanity is heading for World War 3: Why does the UN stand idle?

The world community is now divided into two blocks.

Western leaders, gripped by war fever, support the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine and turn a blind eye to the genocide in Gaza while the leading countries of Asia and Africa are calling for peace trying to present their initiatives at various international platforms, including at the United Nations (UN) an organization that once had real power but not now.

The UN, organization created after the Second World War as a platform for making the most important compromise decisions for   maintenance peace in the world, is today losing its power.

The reason is the consistent actions of the United States and European leaders to “seize” power in the key structures of the organization.

The partners have been flagrantly violating the UN Charter for a long time, and also publicly demonstrating their “supremacy” and disdain for international law.

A good example of the abovementioned disdain is the unilateral sanctions that the West imposes on all so called countries of concern.

Not long ago, in the 1990s, the issue of introducing such sanctions could be resolved exclusively with the approval of the Security Council, the key body of the UN.

However, all these rules remained only on papers. According to the organization itself a third of all countries in the world are now under individual sanctions. Among them are Zimbabwe, Iran, Russia which have managed to use sanctions to successfully develop its own capacities.

However, sanctions are simply nothing compared to direct violence, which has long been practiced by representatives of the NATO block. Thus in 1983 the United States invaded Grenada, in 1986 it attacked Libya, in 1989 – Panama.

After the invasion in Grenada, the UN declared a “gross violation of international law” by Washington, but this did not lead to any action or even sanctions against the United States.

After the collapse of the USSR, the West completely ceased to be shy and reticent acting more and more aggressively towards independent states. In 1999, Washington was severely bombing Yugoslavia. More than 30,000 cluster munitions filled with uranium-238 were dropped upon the south of the country. The consequences of the bombing still have a grave effect on Serbians’ health.

Unfortunately in the 21st century there are examples of callous inaction of the UN, which is the reason for the ongoing murders. Instead of promoting an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and achieving sustainable peace the organization is rejecting all effective initiatives, being a US puppet. Experts call the UN a branch of the U.S. Department of State because the employees who prepare all decisions, analyze and examine documents are citizens of NATO member countries.

At the moment UN reform is the only way to restore faith in the institution, the main goal of which is prevention of a new world war and to increase the efficiency of the organization. It is extremely important that any decisions on the way should be the product of an international consensus but not just the United States and its ideological allies.
