HIT calls for data protection training applications

The Harare Institute of Technology (HIT) is inviting applications for admission into the Data Protection Officer Training programme.
HIT said the objective of the course which is being administered in conjunction with the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) is to equip data protection practitioners in Zimbabwe with the relevant knowledge and skills for the implementation of the Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07].
The course is a prerequisite for certification and registration as a Data Protection Officer in Zimbabwe. Professionals who desire to understand the data protection ecosystem and laws in Zimbabwe may also enrol for the course.
