History makers: Simba Bhora win maiden PSL title
STAFF WTRITER
Simba Bhora have won their maiden Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title with two games remaining in the season, Business Times can report.
The Shamva-based team defeated the already-relegated Arenel Movers to take an insurmountable nine-point lead at the top of the top flight league log standings.
Yesterday’s 1-0 victory over Arenel Rovers at Luveve Stadium in Bulawayo courtesy of captain Walter Musona’s strike sealed the latest success.
Going into the game, they only needed a point to secure the title but managed to do so in style, collecting all three points.
The win means that second placed FC Platinum , which also won yesterday 1-0 against Bulawayo Chiefs will only finish the season with 63 points in the event that the platinum miners win all their remaining games.
Simba has already unassailable 66 points.
