Ganyawu-Magwali leaves Nestlé Zimbabwe

Eunice Ganyawu-Magwali has left Nestlé Zimbabwe to pursue other interests after 17 months at the helm, the food, and beverages concern has said.

Ganyawu-Magwali was appointed MD for Zimbabwe, Malawi, and Zambia in December 2019.

She left the company with effect from last month.

“Mrs. Eunice Ganyawu -Magwali decided to pursue other interests outside of Nestlé,” the company said in response to Business Times inquiries.

Business executive officer Asim Rifat has been appointed in the interim to oversee the business operations in Zimbabwe providing guidance to the strong leadership team of Nestlé Zimbabwe.

“Zimbabwe currently falls within his scope of management oversight. An update will be shared in due course on the developments of the executive leadership of the Nestlé Zimbabwe business,” the company said.

Ganyawu-Magwali became the first female MD after replacing Ben Ndiaye who was posted to the company’s headquarters in Switzerland.
