Ervine returns to lead Chevrons

Craig Ervine has returned to skipper the Zimbabwe cricket team, the Chevrons, in the upcoming historic once-off Test match against Ireland next week at Stormont, Belfast, Northern Ireland.
It is the first red-ball match between the two countries and is slated to take place from July 25 to July 29.
Ervine is one of the few most experienced members in the Chevrons squad that was announced by coach Justin Sammons.
Coincidentally, Ervine was the Zimbabwe captain when the Chevrons played their last Test match – a two match series – against the West Indies at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.
” The squad includes four uncapped players in Clive Madande, Brian Bennett, Joylord Gumbie and Johnathan Campbell,” the Zimbabwe Cricket spokesperson Darlington Majonga said.
The experienced players who have been kept from the starting lineup are Sean Williams, Tendai Chatara, Blessing Muzarabani, and Richard Ngarava.
Tanaka Chivanga, Victor Nyauchi, Prince Masvaure, Dion Myers, Wellington Masakadza, and Roy Kaia are the other players of the team
The Chevrons are going on the Ireland tour following a 4-1 defeat to India in a five-match T20 Series that ended at Harare Sports Club last Sunday.
However, they are expected to return to winning ways against an Ireland side that does not have an intimidating name in international rugby.
