The Premier Soccer League (PSL) Disciplinary Committee has ordered Dynamos FC and Hardrock FC to complete the remaining minutes of their abandoned Castle Lager Premier Soccer League fixture behind closed doors at a neutral venue, after both clubs were found guilty of offences arising from crowd disturbances at Chahwanda Stadium on May 24.
The match was abandoned in the 81st minute with the score locked at 1-1 following crowd trouble.
In its ruling, the Disciplinary Committee found both clubs responsible for the abandonment of the match and imposed heavy financial penalties, along with a raft of additional sanctions aimed at improving crowd control and match-day security.
Hardrock FC was fined US$10,000, with US$2,000 of the penalty suspended for the remainder of the season on condition that the club is not convicted of a similar offence.
Dynamos FC was also fined US$10,000 after being found guilty of several offences, including malicious damage to the perimeter fence at Chahwanda Stadium.
“The Disciplinary Committee further ordered that the remaining minutes of the abandoned Matchday 14 fixture between Hardrock FC and Dynamos FC be played behind closed doors at a neutral venue under the protocols of the PSL,” the league said in a statement.
In addition to the financial penalty, Hardrock has been ordered to stage one home match behind closed doors and submit a revised Match Security Management Plan to the PSL chief executive officer within 30 days.
Dynamos, meanwhile, has been instructed to submit a comprehensive crowd management and stewarding plan within the same timeframe.
The Harare giants will also be required to submit written reports after each of their away matches for the remainder of the 2026 season, outlining the measures taken to manage their travelling supporters.
In a further development, Hardrock chief executive officer Kudzanai Hove was found guilty of disorderly conduct, pitch invasion and violent behaviour.
He has been suspended from all football-related activities for the remainder of the 2026 season and fined US$5,000.
