CEO Africa Roundtable, Anchor Group ink deal

CEO Africa Roundtable and Anchor International Investment on Tuesday this week signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in New York, United States of America, that will see the two organisations cooperating in several areas of investment, Business Times can report.

At the signing ceremony, CEO Africa Roundtable was represented by chief executive Kipson Gundani while Anchor International was represented by its president Yvonne Hu.

“The partnership will see the two organisations coordinating on development, education, value addition and beneficiation in the areas such as mining development, research and technology transfer, manufacturing, construction, financial services, energy, among many other  areas,” CEO Africa Roundtable said.

A high-powered delegation of business executives under the CEO Africa Roundtable is in the United States of America for business roundtables and engagements.

The delegation, which is led by CEO Africa Roundtable chairman, Oswell Binha and Gundani, is expected back home on October 10, 2022.

The US business mission aims to provide networking opportunities for those that want to elevate their business and open them to new challenges.

It is also expected to open up the possibility of mapping the potential partners in addition to promoting investment and trade in targeted sectors such as energy, agriculture and agro processing, financial services, construction, manufacturing, mining, automotive, ICT, transportation, real estate and tourism.

The business mission is also facilitating matchmaking of Zimbabwe and USA businesses.

In the United States of America, the executives are expected to visit Dallas, New York, Washington DC and Baltimore for business roundtables.

They are expected to visit companies such as John Deere, GM Motors in Arlington, Tetra Pak and Tesla. They will also attend roundtables in New York.

Other institutions to be engaged include Prosper Africa in Baltimore, the World Trade Centre, among many  others.
