Zimbabwe and Rwanda are set to hold a trade and investment conference in the capital Harare next week.

The conference, which is expected to explore various trade opportunities during the conference, kicks off on March 28, 2022  and runs until April 1, 2022.

Several government ministers, senior officials from government entities, the private sector from the two countries are expected to attend the conference, organised by ZimTrade and the Rwanda Development Board.

The Harare meeting is a reciprocation of last year’s indaba held in Kigali, Rwanda.

The two countries are expected to strengthen bilateral relations.

Robert Bafakulera, who was recently re-elected  chairperson of the Private Sector Federation  of Rwanda is looking forward to the conference.

“We are looking forward to coming to Zimbabwe,” Bafakulera said.

He added: “We expect a lot. Zimbabwe and Rwanda should be full partners in business. We expect to be seeing more opportunities in Zimbabwe so that we exploit those that are available.”

Bafakulera said a strong delegation from Public Sector Federation will be attending the Harare trade and investement indaba. Several Zimbabwe businesses are eager to capitalised on opportunities emerging from Rwanda’s fast growing economy.

Rwanda president Paul Kagame was the guest of honor at the conference were several trade deals were signed.
